We exist to empower, equip, and uplift mothers by providing the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive personally, professionally, and socially. Through holistic programs and events, we address the unique challenges faced by Black women in motherhood through holistic programs that promote emotional well-being, financial stability, access to healthcare, and career advancement.
We are building a world where every mother thrives—physically, emotionally, financially and in all aspects of living — within a supportive community that celebrates her strength, nurtures her potential, and amplifies her voice.
We envision a future where Black mothers have equitable access to resources, opportunities, and representation, empowering them to raise healthy families and lead impactful lives.
Through advocacy, innovation, and compassion, we strive to reshape the narrative of motherhood by creating systems of support that uplift, educate, and empower generations of Mothers and their children.
Our organization will directly address these barriers through programs that are culturally rooted, community-driven, and empowerment-focused. By offering parenting support, career development, financial aid, and healthcare access, we bridge critical gaps that often hinders mothers' well being. Our advocacy and awareness initiatives will challenge systemic inequities and amplify the voices of Black women in policy and community spaces.
Black mothers often face compounded racial and gender-based barriers that limit access to quality healthcare, stable employment, affordable childcare, and financial support. Systemic racism has historically excluded Black women from equitable opportunities, leading to higher rates of maternal health complications, income instability, and underrepresentation in leadership spaces. Social isolation and the lack of culturally relevant resources further deepen these disparities.
Our vision to see every Black mother thrive drives us to create inclusive environments where mothers are supported, educated, and equipped to lead. Grounded in values of equity, empowerment, and community, we restore confidence and dignity to Black motherhood while fostering intergenerational growth. Through our work, we will not only meet immediate needs but also help dismantle long-standing racial barriers that have hindered the well-being and progress of Black families.
Envisioned by 4 young mothers in 2023 who had personally experienced the challenges of motherhood within underrepresented communities, For Moms Inc. was born out of the desire to create the kind of support system we once needed. From small community circles to structured programs, our work aims to evolve into a hub that connects mothers with opportunities, information, and a network that uplifts and sustains them.
